Who We Are
The History
Terra Christa is the heart of a wonderful family of spiritual people who welcome everyone from all walks of life and is run by Michele Barlock in partnership with her mother Ruth Vanlandingham, the trailblazer and inspiration for who Terra Christa is.
Terra Christa had it's beginnings on Fenwick Island Delaware in 1988. When Ruth bought the store, it was only a summer destination and was ready to grow in many areas, so the store relocated to Vienna Virginia in the early 90's. Terra Christa has grown from a one room store about the size of a walk-in closet to a haven of peace and inspiration with six rooms offering a unique blend of nurturing products and people willing to share their knowledge and experience to help shed some light on your path.

It's all about the "Journey", not the "Destination"....come journey with us!From Ruth: I have been on my spiritual path as long as I can remember, without really knowing where I was going or how I would get there, so for me it was a happy day when I heard there was no final destination, just a new beginning and taking a different path on the journey. But I did know there was something more to know and I've always wanted to know....just about everything. My mission, my dream for the store is to enable people to know they have all their answers within. No one needs to be dependent on anyone else for their journey or for their happiness and fulfillment. We offer a unique selection of inspirational treasures that I hope remind people of this....you are your own best guide. NamasteFrom Michele: Our hope is that we can provide a place for people to go where they leave feeling better than when they first came in. The best part of anyday at the store are the conversations and connections we make with our customers. Sharing experiences, helping people learn about and find the things they are looking for. We love sharing our passion and knowledge of stones, oils, books, energy and more. To see a customer resonate with our products or shared information is so rewarding. We are thankful for the loyalty and trust our customers give us which drives up to keep doing what we do.
